For our Medal we were subjected to what must have been one of the hottest days of the year, but as ever the competition was fierce and produced the closest result so far this year. The course is really in excellent condition and obviously helps good scoring.

We had three 2’s today from Paul Court on the 11th, and Clive Dresner and Neville Woodfine on the 14th, (I’m told that Neville chipped in.) They all received a ball courtesy of our sponsor Dennis Pyman

Nearest the pin on Hole 4 sponsored by Fiona, Gestoria of El Campello was Les Wilkinson who unfortunately just missed his two, but it is nice to see a new name on this hole.

On Hole 14 sponsored by CJ’s bar El Campello 96 563 2567 Dennis Pyman proved to be unbeatable this week.

On Hole 12 nearest the pin in 2 sponsored by Bonalba, Dennis also took the prize being one of very few to reach the green in 2.

In 5th place with a net 73 off 24 hcp our last year’s Captain Angel Centenera

In 4th place with a net par 72 off 7 hcp was Clive Dresner this score usually worthy of a higher place.

In 3rd place with a net 71 off 32 hcp Pat Hickman once again in the frame, and losing out on the back nine with a net 37.

In 2nd place with a net 71 off 4 hcp Dennis Pyman consistent as ever with a net 35 on the back nine.

Paul2009

In 1st place with a net 71 off 16 hcp Paul Court saving his best scores for the back nine with a net 33, he now features in the consistency league but is a long way behind Dennis in 1st place.
