The Golfer Man
Dear fellow golfers,
Now that my stage as Captain has just finished, I would like to say good bye with a few words. (I hope my English is not too bad)
First of all I must say that it was a real honour for me to be Captain of a wonderful Golf Society like Costa Blanca.
I might have taken it with too much enthusiasm but that is the way I do things, and I must say that I enjoyed every minute of my captaincy. And every effort I made was worth it because I could feel the appreciation on the members of the society.
As I said in the Drive in last Wednesday, I would not have been able to do so many things without the help of many of the members. There were many that helped me but I would like to mention Paul Court, who was giving me hints all the time about how I should do this or that so that I would not miss any of the usual procedures and movements that a captain should follow.
Also Richard Davies, Manolo Garay, Rip, Stan and Neville helped me many times with their proper advice and giving an occasional hand.
And finally I would like to thank you all because I have felt your strong support throughout the year, which pushed me to continue and to try harder every week in order to raise the level of our society even a few inches.

If I have obtained that, I feel well paid and very happy.
I would also like to welcome Doris as our new Captain, as well as Les, and wish her a very successful captaincy.
Thanks again and see you around.
All the best
