Today was President’s day and a large field competed for the prizes which had a Spanish flavour to celebrate our society having a Spanish President, and a Spanish Captain this year as well. Manolo had provided statuettes of Don Quixote as well as decorated plates so typical of Spain.

We thank him for his generosity as well as his long serving time as our President, which we hope will continue for many years.

There were two 2’s today both went to Ladies,Doris Earp on the 4th and Jan Hulican on the 14th, they must have been great putts as neither won a nearest the pin.

Nearest the pin on Hole 4, sponsored by Fiona, Gestoria of El Campello, was won by Edi Rogers.

On Hole 14 sponsored by CJ’s Bar Campello 96 563 Brian Rippingale proved best.

Our Guest winner today went to Sally Butler who scored 33 points off 16 hcp and received a decorated clock from Manolo, she was so pleased both she and her husband have asked to join the Society, they will be very welcome.

Nearest the pin on Hole 8 changed hands several times before Les Wilkinson finally won.

Nearest the pin on the 11th was won by Clive Dresner who hit a wonderful shot past the pin to spin back, how he missed his birdie he’ll never know!

The winner of the longest drive for Ladies went to Doris Earp on hole 9.

The winner of the longest drive for men to Paul Court on the 15th, first one to drive here and never headed.

 

In 5th place with 32 points off 7 hcp was Clive Dresner

In 4th place with 34 points off 31 hcp Marlies Nagel

In 3rd place also with 34 points off 30 hcp Doris Earp winning on the back 9.

In 2nd place with 35 points off 11 hcp Franco Fanti he has not been back for long but already in the prizes.

 

In 1st place with 37 points off 4 hcp was Dennis Pyman, he has been out of the picture for a while due to injury but now getting back to his best, well played Dennis.
