Another scorching hot day with high humidity drained us somewhat as we played our Monthly medal.

Everyone seemed to suffer and the scores were very close at the end with no-one managing to score Par or better.

We had one guest today who has applied for membership and not surprisingly he won our guest prize, congratulations to Maurice Buol.

Nearest the pin on Hole 4 sponsored by Bonalba was won by our Captain Angel Centenera.

Nearest the pin on Hole 8, sponsored by Fiona, Gestoria of El Campello, went to Clive Dresner.

On Hole 11 sponsored by sponsored by CJ's Bar Campello 96 563 2567 also went to Clive Dresner

On hole 14 sponsored by the Captain Sandra Woodfine somehow managed to get inside John Coubroughs' shot, well done indeed, but how neither of you got a two is a mystery.

The 2nd shot nearest the pin on the sixth hole, sponsored by our Captain, was won by Roger March.

There was only one 2 today by Edi Rogers on the 11th with a wonderful long putt.

Competition results :

In 5th place with a score of 76 off 20 hcp was Brian Rippingale.

In 4th place also with 76 off 23 hcp winning on the back 9 was our Captain Angel Centenera.

In 3rd place with a 75 off 18 hcp came John Webber winning some wine before he disappears back to Wales.

In 2nd place also with a 75 off 14 hcp winning on the back 9 John Coubrough.

In 1st place with a 74 off 4 hcp was Dennis Pyman proving that class tells in the end.
