Our new Captains' drive-in, which was well supported by the members, although Angel was nervous he managed to get a reasonable drive away and Richard Davis guessed correctly approximately where the ball would land, and collected the money, which his wife immediately confiscated.
The ground staff at Bonalba have been working very hard to repair the damage done by the stormy winds a week ago, and most of the broken trees have been removed.
The practice nets, which were totally decimated, will no doubt soon be repaired also. The weather was magnificent, at times a little windy, but bright sunshine and very warm.
Did we feel sorry for those in England suffering the snow and ice?? I don't think so.
We had four nearest the pins this week two sponsored by our new Captain, who also sponsored longest drives for the girls and boys.
On Hole 8 our previous Captain Brian Fell won, and on hole 14 Jim Reid.
Our Vice Captain Doris Earp won the girls' longest drive, and John Claridge the boys.
Thank you for your generosity Angel. There were four 2's today by, Bob Crow, David Davies, Brian Rippingale, and Brian Fell each receiving a ball courtesy of Dennis Pyman.

The Stableford competition was closely contested with 5 members at par or better.
