The Golfer Man

Today, 30th January 2009 at Bonalba, saw the third round of matches in this seasons competition.

We were playing for the first time against Levante Golf Society who were promoted last season.

We were without two of our regulars, John Coubrough and Barrie Yates, who are both holidaying in Thailand, but Jan Hulican and Stan Tarabula proved excellent replacements, helping their partners to victories as the team recorded an excellent 4 1/2 - 1/2 win for the second match running.

Scores :

Roger & Jim won 3 and 1
            Clive & Brian halved
            Bob & Stan won 3 and 1
            Richard & Edi won 4 and 3
            Tony & Jan won 1 up

In the other matches :

El Patio beat Peer Gynt  4 - 1

Pego beat Orba 3 1/2 - 1 1/2.

So after three matches we are leading the league with 23 points with El Patio second on 21 points and Pego third on 17.

Our remaining matches are against El Patio and then Pego, interesting !
