Venue Bonalba

 

We were fortunate indeed to avoid the rain this week and play for The Bonalba Cup in good weather and little wind. We are as always very grateful to the management at Bonalba for their support and friendship.

 

 

Nearest the pin on Hole 8, sponsored by Fiona, Gestoria of El Campello, was Roger March the first of three prizes this week.

On Hole 14 sponsored by CJ’s Bar Campello 96 563 2567 Terry Malone returning to the fairways after his knee operation and winning a prize, well done.

 

Nearest the pin in two on hole 3 was Graham Sutton first out and never beaten.

Nearest the pin in three on the 13^th was Roger March for prize number two this week.

 

5^th place with 36 points off 17 hcp  Paul Court fourth week in a row in the frame.

4^th place also with 36 points off 13 hcp Richard Davis returning after a break to figure in the prizes again.

3^rd place with 38 points off 25 hcp Graham Sutton having his best round of the year normally enough to win but beaten on the back nine this week.

2^nd place also with 38 points off 12 hcp John Coubrough after two successive wins has to make do with second this week and still gets cut!

 

1^st place also with 38 points off 9 hcp came Roger March responding to John’s challenge in the consistency league and extending his lead. This competition will go right to the wire this year.

 

After presenting the prizes Juan Alberto from Bonalba thanked the society for their support during the year and advised that the greens were to be hollow tined on the 21^st and 22^nd of this month and he hoped that their quality would continue to improve over the coming weeks. He received a rousing round of applause from the membership.
