Another hot day but thankfully little humidity helped some of our higher handicappers to feature in the prizes with some good scores in our Stableford competition.

Once again no one managed to record a two saving Dennis some balls.

Nearest the pin on Hole 4, sponsored by Fiona, Gestoria of El Campello, Dennis Pyman once again proved to be unbeatable.

On Hole 11 sponsored by CJ’s Bar Campello 96 563 2567 Wee John Coubrough was nearest and one of the few to hit the green.

Our Captain Angel sponsored holes 8 and 14 for nearest the pin , Jim Reid won the 8^th and Roger March the 14^th being the only one to find the green through the wind which often seems to come into play on the back nine.

Angel also sponsored nearest the pin in 2 on the 6^th and Roger March took his second bottle of the day.

I hope that one week Angel will have a farthest from the pin in 2 on a par three, on the green of course, to give everyone a chance of winning a bottle from his vast cellar!

In 5^th place with 34 points from 28 hcp Ron Macmaster, beating Edi on the back 9.

In 4^th place also with 34 points off 29 hcp Dorothy (Phyllis) March winning on the back 9, that’s 3 bottles for the March house today, a good time to visit I think.

In 3^rd place with 35 points off 28 hcp Robert Wilson, but with 23 points on the front 9 maybe he should have won!

In 2^nd place with 38 points off 23 hcp our Captain Angel Centenera, he put it down to his new clubs, but he will nevertheless be cut.

In 1^st place with 39 points off 14 hcp ( with a Blob) John Coubrough, after a disasterous round on Monday he obviously had used up all his bad shots. He is now closing on the leaders in the consistency league.
