The August Medal is always one of the hardest as we try to maintain our concentration in the searing heat. The competition was close but only one of us managed to beat par and that by only one shot.

There were no 2’s today saving Dennis some balls.

 

Nearest the pin on Hole 8, sponsored by Fiona, Gestoria of El Campello, Stan Tarabula took the prize with his best shot of the day.

 

On Hole 11 sponsored by CJ’s Bar Campello 96 563 2567 Clive Dresner won his own prize and decided to leave the bottle in the Society’s coffers.

 

 

Today Bonalba also sponsored a nearest the pin on the 4^th and Maurice Buol won for the second successive week. Our thanks to Bonalba for their generosity.

The Captain sponsored a nearest the pin in 3 on the par 5 13^th Clive Dresner won and also got to keep this bottle.

 

 

In 5^th place with a net 76 off 9 hcp Roger March extending his lead in the Consistency competition

 

In 4^th place with a net 76 off 29 hcp Doris Earp ,(and her Caddie Max),  winning on the back nine.

 

In 3^rd place with a net 73 off 15 hcp Eddie Rogers about time he was back on form.

 

In 2^nd place also with a net 73 off 23 hcp Keith Preston winning on the back nine, I hope I can play as well as he does when I’m over 80 years.

 

 

In 1^st place with a net 71 off 20 hcp Brian Rippingale well played.
