Another hot day but an earlier start giving us some relief from the baking temperatures and humidity.

We had a Stableford today which was one of the qualifying competitions for our Captain Angel’s match play competition later in the year. We also had a guest today and the lucky man Russell was the recipient of the bottle of wine for the best guest.

 

There were three 2’s today by Clive Dresner on the 4^th, Gerard Vincente on the 8^th and Edi Rogers on the 14^th, they each receive a ball from  Dennis Pyman.

 

Nearest the pin on Hole 4, sponsored by Fiona, Gestoria of El Campello, was Clive Dresner taking the prize away from Paul who had denied him the longest drive last week.

 

On Hole 14 sponsored by CJ’s Bar Campello 96 563 2567 Edi Rogers proved to be the best.

The Captain also sponsored two holes, nearest the pin in two on the 10^th, and nearest the pin in three on the 15th, the first of these was won by Roger March and the second by Maurice Buol, well done and it is nice to see the prizes being shared round.

 

5^th place with 33 points off 6 hcp    Clive Dresner (beating two others on the back nine)

4^th place with 33 points off 9 hcp    Roger March (better back nine)

3^rd place with 35 points off 14 hcp  John Coubrough (now creeping up the consistency table watch out Roger and Richard)

2^nd place with 36 points off 16 hcp  Paul Court ( missing from this list for too long)

 

1^st place with 37 points off 16 hcp  Gerard Vincente. (Great to see one of our newer members doing so well)
