This week we held our monthly medal competition held over from the beginning of the month whilst the greens were hollow tined. The course is now in good condition and this was reflected in the scoring.

We had two guests today and once again Clive Cox won the bottle with a score of 28 points off his 22 hcp.

 

Nearest the pin on Hole 8, sponsored by Fiona, Gestoria of El Campello, was won by Brian Hines one of our newer members getting used to winning a few bottles.

On Hole 14, sponsored by CJ's Bar Campello 96 563 2576 David Davies came out on top.

Our Captain also sponsored a nearest the pin on the 11^th hole which was won by our handicap secretary Stan Tarabula.

 

Bonalba kindly sponsored a nearest the pin in two shots on the 16^th and another of our Welsh Wizards John Webber took the prize. Our thanks to Bonalba for their generosity.

Sadly there were no two's today pleasing only Denis Pyman our sponsor.

 

In the Medal competition:-

5^th place with a net 73 off 13 hcp John Coubrough.

4^th place with a net 72 off 23 hcp our Captain Angel Centenera losing out on the back nine.

3^rd place also with a net 72 off 16 hcp our Secretary Paul Court.

2^nd place with a net 70 off 17 hcp David Davies, his best result in a long time and perhaps signalling better times ahead.

1^st place with a net 69 off 9 hcp Roger March, who our handicap secretary will take great delight in cutting for the second week running.

 

Roger now takes over the lead in our consistency competition sponsored by Edi rent-a-car.
