The light drizzle turned to steady rain and caused 10 members to withdraw from today's Stableford. The more hardy of us ventured forth and were rewarded by the rain stopping and a reasonable day for golf.

Once again our Captain Angel sponsored a par three and the nearest the pin went to Brian Fell on the 8^th Hole.

On Hole 4, sponsored by Fiona, Gestoria of El Campello, also went to Brian Fell

On Hole 11, sponsored by CJ's Bar Campello 96 563 2576 Jan Hulican once again appeared in the prizes, more of that later.

The course was very wet and proved to be quite difficult, especially the bunkers which attracted more than their fair share of balls.

This resulted in nobody beating par today, but, as ever, the competition was close. 

In 5^th place with 32 points from hcp 28 was RonMacMaster

In 4^th place with 33 points from 25 hcp came Jan Hulican

In 3^rd place with 34 points off 17 hcp was John Webber

In 2^nd place with 35 points off 22 hcp Manuel Perez.

In 1^st place with 36 points off 12 hcp Jim Hulican,

This is the fourth successive week that Jim and Jan have featured in the prizes and as forecast last week they were the favourites for this competition. What odds for them in the Medal next week ???

The Secretary reminded everyone to enter the 2009 knock out Singles and Doubles Competitions as the draw would take place in early March.
