Another glorious day although it was a little windy, but hey it's January still and we are playing golf. Today we had a Stableford Competition and found the greens getting ever faster, probably due to the dry weather we have had, and resulting in a very close result, with the cream rising to the top.

Nearest the pin :

On Hole 08 sponsored by Fiona Gestoria of El Campello was won by Sally Rippingale who was the only one to be nearer than Franco who went out first.

On Hole 14 sponsored by ourselves Paul Court won with a great shot into the wind.

Results :

In 5^th place with 32 points off 11hcp (beating a host of others on the back 9) came the old man of the society Franco Fanti!!

In 4^th place with 33 points off 9 hcp was Roger March who regularly features in the winners' enclosure.

In 3^rd place with 33 points off 17 hcp winning on the back 9 was David Davies it's really good to see him back in the prizes.

In 2^nd place with 34 points off 14 hcp came Edi (Rent-a-car) Rogers.

In 1^st place with 35 points off 14 hcp Richard Davis winning for the second week in a row, and also upsetting his doubles partner Edi!!

Members are reminded that our new Captain will be driving-in on February 4^th, and the competition will be followed by our annual prize presentation and lunch.
