The first Medal of the New Year and we faced a freezing cold morning, which gradually improved. We are thankful that we were not in England where MINUS 12 was recorded yesterday.

There were no 2's today so the Captain thinks he can just about last out the year without having to get more balls.

Nearest the pin :

On the 8^th sponsored by Fiona, Gestoria of El Campello, was won by wee John Coubrough, his last bottle for a month as he disappears to Qatar.

On the 11^th sponsored by CJ's Bar El Campello 965 632 576 our Italian Stallion Franco Fanti  won even though he was heard to say that he could not play anymore as he was getting old !!!

Results :

In 5^th Place with a net 76 off 10 hcp was Bob Crow.

In 4^th place with a net 75 off 17 hcp our Captain Brian Fell

In 3^rd place with a net 75 off 12 hcp Barrie Yates

In 2^nd place with a net 74 off 11 hcp that Old Man Franco Fanti

The winner with a net 72 off 14 hcp Mr Bonalba himself Richard Davis.
