It was cold and spots of drizzle were falling as we set out on the last Medal round of the year. This continued until we were on the back nine when the clouds disappeared and we were treated to a blue sky and sunshine, that's why we came to Spain.

The competition was close but the scores were affected by the strong wind that blew away the clouds, and no-one managed to beat Par.

 

Nearest the pin :

 

On the 4th sponsored by Fiona, Gestoria of El Campello, was won by Franco Fanti.

 

On the 11th sponsored by CJ's Bar El Campello 965 632 576 Les Wilkinson won with an excellent shot.

 

There were two 2s' today from Stephen Grey, and Roger March, although this one was a bit special as he achieved it on the par 4 17th hole as part of a birdie, eagle, par finish, that he failed to finish in the prizes is astonishing !!

In 5th place with  a net 76 off 16 hcp our newest member Gerard Vincente, well played.

 

In 4th place with a net 75 off 22 hcp Terry Malone still in the prizes despite being cut last week.

 

In 3rd place with a net 74 off 13 hcp John Coubrough.

 

In 2nd place with a net 73 off 20 hcp Stephen Grey.

 

In 1st place also with a net 73 off 17 hcp our Captain Brian Fell beginning to celebrate the end of his year.
