Dear mates :
We played the November Winter League day last Monday 10th. Again with very nice weather and 21 players which is more or less the slots we are able to get on a Monday.
The average standard of play was good, but the best were :
Nearest the pin :
Hole 08 : Jim Reid
Hole 11 : Jim Hulican
Nearest the pin 2nd. shot :
Hole 06 : Tony Carroll
Longest Drive Women :
Hole 05 : Dorothy March
Longest Drive Men :
Hole 18: Roger March
And the Scores were :
3rd place : Barrie Yates with 35 points.
2nd place : John Coubrough , also with 35 points, but better back nine.
1st place : Roger March with 36 points.
I would like to congratulate the winners, since I always admire those who are able to win. And those of us who do not win, I encourage them to insist and continue trying hard, because sooner or later we will be up there.
Thanks again for your support, and hope you are there again for the December Winter League.
