A beautiful day for our Vice Presidents,  Stableford competition and ideal conditions for good scoring, and so it proved as 90% of the players scored 30 or more points.

 

Nearest the pin on Hole 4 sponsored by Fiona, Gestoria of El Campello Brian Hines proved the best off the back tee making this a difficult par three.

 

On Hole 8 sponsored by CJ’s bar El Campello 96 563 2567 our President Manolo Garay was victorious.

 

On Hole 11 sponsored by Keith Preston (our vice president), Paul Court was the best of the few who managed to get on the green, just missing his two. 

 

On hole 14 also sponsored by Keith one of the last players Maurice Buol took the honours.

Keith also sponsored the longest drives and Jeff Murten took the Men’s prize with a mighty drive down the 5^th fairway, and Christiane Tarabula won the ladies with a drive that most of the men could not match on the 18^th.

 

 

In the main competition there were several countbacks including 6 players on 35 points.

 

In 5^th place with 35 points off 17 hcp was Maurice Buol having the best back nine of all.

In 4^th place with 36 points off 11 hcp Richard Davis, consistent as ever.

In 3^rd place with 36 points off 16 hcp Gerard Vincenti making his way up the consistency league.

In 2^nd place with 37 points off 13 hcp James Burnet far too long out of the frame now running into form.

 

 

In 1^st place with 38 points off 11 hcp Bob Crow also now featuring in the consistency league which is becoming ever more competitive.

 

After the presentation many of the golfers joined Keith and his wife Pauline for lunch in Mutxamel, which was the perfect way to end a very successful day.
