After a storm on Tuesday the course was looking in great condition, and the sun shone as we teed off, later the sky changed and once again we had a heavy shower. This favoured the earlier tee off times as the later ones got soaked. Nevertheless the competition was fierce and well over half the competitors scored over 30 points.

We had one guest today and Malcolm naturally picked up the bottle with 24 points from his 15 hcp.

Dennis Pyman the sponsor presented two balls for twos to Jeff Murten on the 8^th and Sally Rippingale on the 11^th, it was pointed out to Richard that she had no putts at all yet still beat him by two shots on this hole!!!

Nearest the pin on Hole 4 sponsored by Fiona, Gestoria of El Campello had several contenders before Brian Rippingale came out on top.

On Hole 13 sponsored by CJ’s bar El Campello 96 563 2567 Richard Davis picked up the prize, but provoked some discussion as to whether he deserved it as he three putted for a 4!!

 

In 5^th place with 35 points off 24 hcp was Angel Centenera it must be his new swing!

In 4^th place also with 35 points off 21 hcp winning on the back nine was Stephen Grey.

In 3^rd place with 36 points off 4 hcp Dennis Pyman an outstanding round of gross 76, his stay in Portugal last week obviously helped him.

In 2^nd place with 37 points off 16 hcp our secretary Paul Court confirming his recent good form.

In 1^st place also with 37 points off 21 hcp winning on the back nine, one of our newer members Jim Hurley, well played and what we hope will be the first of many good rounds.
