WEDNESDAY 21ST APRIL 2010 - STABLEFORD EVENT.  

Travel restrictions from the north of Europe prevented some of our members returning to Spain after the Easter break, and an away trip by our French contingent and their friends meant a depleted field this week, only 24 members and 3 guests, which should have given some others a chance to get in the prizes, but looking at the results it was the usual suspects who triumphed. Well done.  

Nearest the pin on hole 8, sponsored by Fiona Gestoria of el Campello, was Dennis Pyman, a dificult hole today from the back tee and the pin over the middle bunker.

Hole 14, sposored by C.J's bar el Campello 96 563 2567, was won by Richard Davis, who also sank the putt for a birdie to win a ball from Dennis Pyman, (his playing partner - I'd like to have seen his face when the putt went in!).  

 

Main prizes were:  

Guest prize - Senti, 28 hcp with 28 points.

3rd place - Dennis Pyman with 34 points off a 4 hcp.

 

2nd place - Keith Preston on his return from an extended trip to New Zealand, ( some   crafty tuition?), with 35 points off  a 23 hcp.

 

1st place - Richard Davis, (again), with a magnificent 40 points of his new reduced handicap of 12. He is really on form at the moment - please take note Mr. Handicap Secretary.
