2010 – BONALBA SENIOR RYDER CUP

 

1 – PARTICIPANTS - Who can enter this tournament ?

 

Any Senior player subscribed or federated through Bonalba Golf Club and who meets the requirements as per point 3 below : “TEAMS”

 

2 – DATES and FORMATS

 

This competition will confront the SPANISH SENIOR TEAM and the EUROPEAN SENIOR TEAM, and it will be played throughout the year 2010 with one tournament in each quarter.

 

1^st.  quarter :  Match Play Greensome Handicap (16 April at 8h40 a.m)

2^nd. quarter : Match Play 4 Ball, better ball Handicap

3^rd. quarter :  Match Play Greensome-Chapman Handicap

4^th. quarter :  Match Play Singles Handicap

 

3 – TEAMS

 

Each team will consist of 10 players, selected as per the following criteria :

6 players- The first six players of each team will be chosen as per the general Senior League qualification of the Friday prior to the celebration of each match.

4 players- To be selected directly by the captains.

 

In the case of some of the qualified players not being able to play, this place will be the captains free choice. Each team shall have to appoint 2 reserve players for each tournament in case of a last minute drop out.

 

4 - RULES

 

All confrontations will be Match Play, and the winning team will get 2 points and the losing 0 points. In the case of a draw after 18 holes, each team will get 1 point.

The total number of points in play is 50 : 10 in Greensome, 10 in Fourball, 10 in Greensome- Chapman and 20 in Singles.

And the winner will obviously be the team with a higher number of points after the 4 confrontations.

 

5 – SUBSCRIPTIONS AND PRIZES

 

Each selected player must have a Federation license of the RFEG (in force), and must take care of paying his/her own green-fee on each match.

 

The Trophy for the winning team will be given at the end of the tournament of the singles matches, and during a lunch where the final results will be announced. And the winning team will keep the trophy along the year until the following prizegiving.
