Dear Fellow Golfers,

As you probably know we played on last Friday 29th. January, our 3rd. match of the Premier League. Unfortunately the results were most discouraging; we played against EL PATIO in Oliva Nova, and we lost 5-0.

Clive and Maurice lost 4&2

Dennis and Gerard lost 6&5

Bob Crow and Angel lost 2&1

Franco and Richard lost 1 down

Eddy and Brian Hines lost 5&4

It is true that the course was not in the best condition, but it was acceptable and it was just the same for our opponents. The only reason I could find is that we could not count this time with some good players like : J.C., STan, Roger March, Jim, Jan, Paul Court, etc. who for one reason or another were not able to play.

Anyway I must say that I was really ashamed and it was hard for me to cope with the idea of a 5-0.

As a matter of fact I myself played crap, and maybe the teams I proposed were not the right ones either. So I will try to study everything better for next match. 

Anyway it is no use crying about it now. So we just try to improve for the next time, and in any case, I am sure we all tried our best.

So the situation after 3 days (15 matches)  is :

Division 1

El Patio         26 points

Oliva Nova    16 points

Pego GS       16 points (only 10 matches played) bye 27/NOV

Downhill GS  10 points

Costa BGS    10 points

Orba W          8 points (only 10 matches played) bye 30/OCT

Marina Alta     4 points (only 10 matches played) bye 29/JAN

Next match will be in El Plantio against Marina Alta on February 26th. and I would ask all the players to try and be available for that date, and in the best possible form.
