Dear Fellow Golfers,

 

It's been a few days before I was able to digest and then send the report of our last Premier League Match played on May 14th. against Orba Warblers, at Alicante Golf, and the unfortunate results were :  

 

Bob Crow & Angel lost 4&2

 

Brian Hines & Graham Sutton lost 4&2

 

Dennis Pyman & Jeff Murten won 1 UP.

 

J.C. & Maurice Buol lost 2&1

 

Richard Davis & Gerard Vincenti were A/S  

 

And the total results after 6 days, 30 matches, are :  

 

Division 1                    points  

 

1) - El Patio GS            46    Champions

 

2) - Oliva Nova GS         37    Runners Up

 

3) - Pego GS                33

 

4) - Marina Alta GS       30

 

5) - Orba Warblers        27

 

6) - Costa Blanca GS    22    Relegated

 

7) - Downhill GS           15    Relegated  

 

Very few times in my life I have felt so ashamed as to be relegated to a Second Division while I was the Competition Secretary.

But obviously we must know how to win and how to lose. And I must say we deserved to be relegated this year because we only got 22 points out of possible 60. Which is real crap. Anyway I have now assumed my part of responsability both as Comp.Secretary and as occasional player, and look forward to next year matches in the Second Division.  

 

Thanks to all those who cheered me up and helped me to recover from this bad moment and if you still want me I, am ready to fight next year as Comp.Secretary again and try our best to promote back to the First Division.   That is all now falks.
