Venue Bonalba

 

Back to Bonalba this week for our medal delayed whilst the greens were hollow tined. These proved to be difficult today but I’m sure will soon return to their pristine best in a couple of weeks.

 

We had one guest today and we were pleased to present Diane Nielander with a bottle for her very good score of 78 net off 22 hcp.

 

Nearest the pin on Hole 4 sponsored by Fiona, Gestoria of El Campello once again Dennis Pyman won but somehow managed to three putt.

 

On Hole 8 sponsored by CJ’s bar El Campello 96 563 2567 Gerard Vincenti hit a wonderful shot to within 2 feet of the flag and sank the putt for a two winning him a ball as well.

 

On hole 14 sponsored by Bonalba our newest member Guy Letort proved bestm, well done.

 

In the main competition it was good to see some different names getting into the prizes:-

 

In 5^th place with a net 75 off 25 hcp Graham Sutton.

In 4^th place with a net 73 off 32 hcp Pat Hickman her second fourth place recently and will soon reduce her hcp.

In 3^rd place also with a net 73 off 27 hcp our Captain once again Doris Earp winning on the back nine.

In 2^nd place with a net par 72 off 16 hcp Gerard Vincenti second time he has been runner-up and a win will come soon the way he is playing.

 

In 1^st place with a net 71 off 14 hcp Jeff Murten the first medal he has won in quite a while, and an excellent round in the conditions.
