As you all probably know, it has been agreed that I can organize again my Match Play Competition this year, with improved prizes, and it will be as follows:

 

There will again be 10 qualifying competitions on stableford Wednesdays, on:

 

February 24

March 31

April 28

May 19

June 16 & 23

July 21

August 18

September 8 & 29

 

The best 6 scores (out of the 10) will be taken, and the players seeded according to their scores. Most points seed 1, etc. Players with equal points will be graded by their second best card, then third, etc.

 

The top 16 players will then play against each other in match play on 20^th October as follows:   (players not able to play their opponent will be given a bye)

Game three     Seed 5 v Seed 12

Game four       Seed 3 v Seed 14

On November 17^th , The Quarter-Finals

On December 8^th , The Semi-Finals

In January 19^th , the Final and 3^rd/4^th place match.

 

Once the competition reaches the knock out stage, each player will pay 3 Euros for each game.

Winner : El Corte Inglés voucher 150 Euros

 

2nd place : El Corte Inglés voucher 100 Euros

 

3rd place : El Corte Inglés voucher 50 Eeuros

 

4th place : Box of Wine

 

For the FINAL, as this year, we will cheer the players on their back nine holes, with free sandwiches and drinks. Prize giving will be done in February with the rest of the prizes at the new captain’s drive in.
