This week we had to say goodbye to two long standing members who have decided to return to live in France, Roger and Dorothy March.

Roger has been a member of our victorious league team for the past two years and Dorothy has acted as treasurer.

We wish them a long life and happiness in their new home and we will miss them. They were kind enough to sponsor the prizes for this week so thank you again.

 

Nearest the pin on Hole 4, sponsored by Fiona, Gestoria of El Campello, was won by John Claridge returning to the prizes for the first time in a long while.

 

On Hole 14 sponsored by CJ’s Bar Campello 96 563 2567 Jan Hulican proved victorious.

Nearest the pin on the 8^th was our handicap secretary Stan Tarabula. Also on this hole Maureen Fanti won a ball for a two, another two was recorded by Stephen Grey.

 

On the 11^th Brian Hines somehow got inside the Captain’s shot but managed to miss the birdie!

 

The winner of the longest drive for Ladies on hole 7 went to Jan Hulican. Not to be outdone her husband Jim won the nearest the pin in three on the par 5 fifteenth.

 

The winner of the longest drive for men went to Paul Court on the 16^th, a stunning drive finishing only 80 metres from the green. Paul also won nearest the pin in 2 on the par four tenth.

 

There were two competitions running today, the quarter finals of Angel’s Match Play competition the successful four being Angel Centenera, Paul Court, Edi Rogers and Stephen Grey, the semi finals will be in a fortnight.

 
 

The rest of the members played a team competition, an Irish four ball. Two scores counting on 6 holes, three scores on 6 holes, and four scores on 6 holes.

 

In second place with a score of 100 were Richard Davis, Brian Hines, Les Wilkinson and Helmut Trixl.

 

The runaway winners with a score of 106 only two over par Stan Tarabula, John Claridge, Jan Hulican and Neville Woodfine.
