Our monthly medal once again they seem to come round ever faster these days, and this one proved to be a test for everyone.

The greens are a little unpredictable after their treatment last week but I am sure that they will soon be back to their best condition, and we will have no excuses left. The pruning of the palm trees has left the course looking quite spectacular thank you Luis.

The standard scratch score was 75 today, and only one player managed to score par, nevertheless our handicap secretary will be wielding his axe as if the score was three under par.

We had one guest today who returned a net 76 of his handicap of 15 and richly deserved his bottle, well played Mr Rawson.

There were no twos at all this week, maybe we are saving them up for Captain’s day next week!

 

Nearest the pin on Hole 8, sponsored by Fiona, Gestoria of El Campello, was won once again, yes you’ve guessed it, Roger March

On Hole 8 sponsored by CJ’s Bar Campello 96 563 2567 our vice Captain Doris Earp scooped the prize even though she somehow managed to three putt!!

Our Captain Angel sponsored nearest the pin in 2 on the 6^th hole and this was won by John Rigby, as well as nearest the pin in 3 on the 2^nd hole which was predictably won by Roger March, I do believe he is beginning to get embarrassed with all his prizes, so maybe next week he will deliberately mishit on the prize holes!! Somehow I doubt it.

 

In 5^th place with a net 77 off 26 hcp Bill Williams benefiting from some excellent advice last week !

In 4^th place with a net 77 off 9 hcp winning on the back 9 came that man again Roger March, John will have to get himself sorted out to maintain his consistency challenge.

In 3^rd place with a net 76 from 23 hcp our Captain Angel Centenera I can guarantee he will win nothing next week.

In 2^nd place with a net 75 off 26 hcp came Jim Reid back in the frame after a long absence.

In 1^st place with a net 72 off 29 hcp was Sandra Woodfine an excellent score under the conditions well played indeed.
