Today was one of our away days this time at Foressos Golf in Valencia, the day was marred by a summer storm, and the majority of members left the course. A few hardy members nevertheless completed their rounds, and the Vice Captain decided that the result and presentation of prizes would be announced next week.

This day followed our away trip to Panoramica golf course where we stayed in an aparthotel overlooking the golf course.

The weather was kind to us and we enjoyed an excellent three days of golf and social activities, with the usual banter these occasions seem to produce.

The major winners for the men were Jeff Murten, John Coubrough and Roger March, who managed to adapt their games to the different challenges of the course scoring 34, 34, and 33 points respectively.

For the Ladies Sandra Woodfine produced an excellent round of 33 points even though she had not played much golf recently, this pipped Maureen Fanti with 31 points, although in compensation, she managed to secure some of the nearest the pin prizes.

Several members were asking when the next trip would be as they had enjoyed themselves so much.

Paul and Angel were thanked for all their efforts to make it go so successfully, and would be turning their attention to our future trip very soon.
