A lovely warm pleasant day greeted the 35 members for the January Medal. After the excesses of Christmas and the New Year there were no outstanding scores but nevertheless several quite respectable ones.

The nearest the pin at Hole 8 sponsored by Fiona, Gestoria of El Campello, was won by Jim Hulican.

At Hole 14 sponsored by ourselves, Maureen Fanti proved the girls were as good as the boys. She also converted it into a two for a free ball from Dennis Pyman.

Clive Dresner also managed a two and duly collected his reward.

In 5th Place off Hcp. 23 was Leslie Young with a net 74

In 4th off Hcp. 26 losing out on countback was Helmut Trixl with 73. Helmut tells me I got his age wrong last time I mentioned him, he says he is only 28 and is available.

In 3rd place off 28 Hcp. was Dorothy March, it’s been a long time but worth waiting for.

In 2nd place off 12 Hcp. was Jim Hulican.

The winner this month was Stephen Grey with a net 70 off 20 Hcp. We look forward to more good results from you Stephen now you are fully recovered from the operation on your hand.

Just a reminder to all members that the AGM is being held at Bonalba after our golf on Wednesday 23rd January, all are expected to attend.

The single Match Play final will be : C. Dresner vs Stan Tarabula
