Wednesday 19th December
As this was the last Society day before Christmas, we had our traditional team game where everyone wins a prize.
Each player has to bring a present and the winning side gets to have first choice, although this is not necessarily an advantage as all the presents are wrapped up so you don’t know what you’re going to get.
The day was cold and a blustery wind caused many problems, so much so that no-one was able to get on the green at the 8th to win the nearest pin prize.
At the 14th sponsored by Fiona Gestoria of El Campello Stephen Grey won with a shot very close to the hole.
The winning team consisted of John Coubrough, Tony Carroll(still wearing shorts would you believe),Doris Earp and Ron McMaster.
In 2nd place came Clive Dresner, Stan Tarabula, Derek Robertson, and Pat Hickman.
All members should be aware that the 2nd January competition will NOT be a medal but a team game and the Medal will be held on the 9th January.
Finally I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a New Year of enjoyable golf with many rounds under par.
