Antonio's Hole in one

During the Senior Tournament of last October, I had the pleasure to witness a “hole in one”. Antonio Valentín Sanchez, a talented Spanish golf player of Bonalba Golf Club, hit a magnificent 6 iron direct to the pin, which was placed on an uphill green. A par three of 158 metres. CBGS Premier League October 2007

Friday 26th October saw the start of the new season for the Costa Blanca News Premier League. There are two major changes this year in that the format has reverted to match play after last years unpopular s/ford format and with three new socities joining we now have two divisions. We are in the first along with : Ifach L.E.G.S Mynahs Orba Patio Pego. Away shield competition

Wednesday the 17th of October marked the final day in the Away Shield competition and what a glorious day it turned out to be. The venue chosen by our Captain was Alicante Golf Club and a good turn out of members enjoyed bright sunshiny day,what a relief after the storms of last week. As most of you know the best three cards of each competitor will be accumulated and entered into the competition,the winner will be announced at the presentation dinner in January.

Hole 15, like the 15 october : we played the first Monday winter league. The first winter league match a little cool first thing. Things soon warmed up to a comfortable temperature and the was playing much better than it had been over the previous two weeks, let us hope the dressing of the greens will improve their quality in the next few weeks. The migration of the golfers

A little late, but we would like to WELCOME : Jan & Jim Hulican; they help for the calm to be restored within the course. And who was going to tell you "you are back, Angel"? Not to talk about Norman Emerson : We could hardly survive without his "coffee", his "liquor sweets ", and to finish you up, his beer on the 18th. Very sad that he has to go back home again.
