Away Golf Course : El Plantio 30th January 2008

Costa Blanca Golf Society Sponsored by The Garay Cup.S.A. Wednesday 30th January 2008 Due to a competition at Bonalba we diverted to El Plantio today for a Stableford. When we arrived it was bitterly cold and the greens had a thin layer of frost delaying our start. Once the sun got through it soon warmed up and we were able to remove our winter clothes. Stableford competition -16 january 2008

Costa Blanca Golf Society Sponsored by www.medsolproperty.com Wednesday 16th January 2008 Stableford was the order of the day, on which we suffered blustery conditions with the wind ever increasing to almost gale force. Second hand book sale

The second hand book sale held on President's Day and on further days during November/December in aid of the Spanish Cancer Association to help with the purchase of a digital breast cancer screening unit raised the respectable sum of 337 Euros.

From the first January 2008 , we have to respect some changes of Golf Rules. The main changes are : - The R12-2 allows now the player to lift a ball even in a hazard, in order to identify it. Walk to l'Albir Lighthouse

Walk to l'Albir Lighthouse. Today Sunday the 2nd December, some 20 members of the Society joined for the l'albir event. Only about 13 walked up to the lighthouse, and the rest met us at the restaurant "Brisa del Mar". The day was a beautiful one, and we enjoyed every minute. CBGS Premier League November 2007

Friday 30th November saw the second round of this years league programme at Alicante Golf,the weather was perfect but sadly the course wasn't.
